Our high-performance Down Cleaner is formulated for use on all down and synthetic filled clothing and equipment. The thought of washing a down jacket worries a lot of people, but as long as the correct cleaner is used washing is straight forward. The key to washing down is to make sure the item is completely dried after washing. Normal household detergents are extremely harsh and leave behind perfumes and other contaminants that work against the wicking or breathable features. With Down, this can also strip out any natural oils still remaining which can further reduce loft.
